Stuffed meatballs with feta cheese in tomato sauce
Preheat the oven to 220o C.
Place a pan on medium heat and put 1 tbsp. olive oil.
Put the onion and garlic finely chopped and sauté for 2-3 minutes to caramelize.
Remove to a bowl and allow to cool.
Add the ground beef, minced pork, bread, chopped parsley, egg, cumin, salt, pepper, 1 tbsp. olive oil and shape very well.
Form into 18 meatballs. Press each meatball in our hands, put a piece of feta in the center and shape again so that the feta is in the center. Follow the same procedure for all the meatballs.
Put the flour in a bowl and pass all the meatballs.
Place a pan with sunflower oil over medium heat.
Fry the meatballs in 2 portions for 3-4 minutes to get color. Remove on absorbent paper and transfer to a 20×30 cm fireproof dish.
Spread the tomato sauce, the grated feta, the oregano, the pepper and the olive oil.
Bake for 10-15 minutes.
